In Florence, the academic and the cross-cultural experiences are closely integrated
and mutually enriching. Field study is an integral part of the curriculum.
Each academic course has its own field study component designed to provide
first-hand experience.
In addition to the course-related field studies included as part of most of the art history courses (for which there are course fees, paid directly by the student), there are a number of “all school” field trips that give all students, regardless of their major, the opportunity to appreciate the history, art, and culture of Italy. Transportation, hotel (in Rome), entry fees and lectures for the field trip are all covered by the Program.
