Cost
The ScreamThe cost for the semester will be the same as the comprehensive fee for the semester at St. Lawrence. This covers tuition, housing, transportation to and from classes, meals, books, your academic study tour, and cultural events. It does not cover airfare, passport and visa fees, baggage and health insurance, personal expenses, nor optional study tours. Students are responsible for paying a refundable housing damage deposit of US$200 charged by DIS for all DIS-arranged housing.

Estimates of what students have spent while participating in this program are available in the Center for International and Intercultural Studies.

DIS offers students generous scholarships, based on scholarship and financial need.

A nonrefundable first payment of $500 is to be made upon acceptance. The remaining sum must be paid upon receipt of bills from St. Lawrence University. Participants in the program will have incurred responsibility for the full cost once they have formally accepted enrollment. Refunds will be made in accordance with the policy outlined in the St. Lawrence catalog, minus any money that has been paid out on behalf of the student.

Financial Aid
Denmark's International Study Program is considered a regular St. Lawrence Program; therefore, financial aid for St. Lawrence students is automatically applied.

Information is included in the program application on travel funds – intended to help defray the cost of the airfare to Denmark . There are also grants available to help finance students’ enrichment and research projects. Visit the Center for International and Intercultural Studies for more information.

In addition, The DIS Board has allocated considerable funds for scholarship aid for academically qualified students who otherwise could not afford to study in Denmark. DIS offers two forms of scholarships: The DIS Scholarship, which can be applied to air travel and living expenses, and the DIS work/study Scholarship.

Insurance
In addition to the Danish accident and sickness insurance that is included in the cost of the program, students may want to continue their St. Lawrence University Accident and Sickness Insurance which provides worldwide coverage and offers the same benefits overseas that a St. Lawrence student would receive on campus. The International Student Identity Card (ISIC), which all DIS participants are required to have, includes basic insurance coverage when traveling outside the United States.
