The DIS classes offer an exciting dimension: the integration of classroom
teaching with studies in the field through weekly field study visits in and
around Copenhagen. Most of the DIS courses have several field study events
during the semester to add depth and perspective to the classroom teaching.
In addition, each of the academic programs includes a 3-day course-related
study tour (usually Denmark-Sweden-Germany) and a 1-week study tour to Scandinavia,
Western Europe, or East Central Europe. The field visits and study tours
are conducted by DIS faculty and staff and form an intense, yet inspirational
combination of academic input, exploration, socializing and fun. The field
visits and the study tour for your academic program are included in the cost
of the program. DIS offers other, optional study tours for an
extra fee, paid for by the student.
