The Center for International and Intercultural Studies (CIIS) is able to offer 1 stipend annually to a continuing faculty member to develop
(1) an international/intercultural summer course, or
(2) a course with an international/intercultural travel
component.
Deadline for application is October 1.
Faculty member should submit a letter to the International Education Advisory Committee describing the proposed course and how the travel element will enrich the course. The faculty member must offer the proposed course within 2 years of funding; a supporting letter from the department chair, indicating your availability for this course, is required. The letter should also include budget information (1) on the costs for the faculty member to conduct a site visit to plan the course and (2) on the likely cost per student for the course.
