| 1 - 3 | Senegalese Master Drummers and Griots, Cheikh Mbaye and his brother, will lead workshops for Tim Mangin’s class for three days. They may also available for class lectures. Cheikh Mbaye is an amazing drummer who has played with Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis, Miles Davis, David Murray, Amiri Baraka, Peter Gabriel, Youssou Ndour, Nina Hagen and many others. He comes from a very long line of griots and considered a master drummer by his family and Senegalese. | |
