Patti McGill Peterson Center for International and Intercultural Studies
Students who enroll in the program at Kansai Gaidai University will participate in their Asian Studies Program. All students will be required to take Japanese language. They will be placed in the appropriate course depending upon their language level. Although there is significant emphasis on Japanese language, the strength of the Asian Studies Program is its exposure to various issues and subject matters. This allows participants to examine Japanese, and on a larger scale, Asian culture from various perspectives.
Students will select three elective courses from within the within the Asian Studies program. Coursework is offered in history, government, gender and sexuality studies, communications, economics, arts, psychology, literature, religious studies, and more.
For more information about the course options please visit the Kansai Gaidai Academic webpage.
Note: if you are solely interested in Japanese language acquisition should consider applying for our partner program with Nanzan University or ICU.
