Orientation Manual

Patti McGill Peterson Center for International and Intercultural Studies

The Orientation manual is intended to be a general guide to prepare students for what they will experience abroad. We thought you -- the parents -- also would benefit from the information and resources.

Often, parents wonder how to best support and help their student in this process. We encourage you to be available to lend advice and encouragement; however, we believe that it is critically important that you let your student take primary responsibility for planning the off-campus experience. We encourage you to help your student develop a set of realistic expectations and organize her planning.
