Entering St. Lawrence, I knew I wanted to pursue chemistry after my first day of general chemistry. It reignited a passion and interest I had in high school for chemistry. The supportive and motivating faculty made my decision to major in chemistry easier with  interesting and intellectually challenging  courses. Their willingness to answer questions and genuine interest in the subject matter is easily recognized from stepping foot into their office. I was fortunate to have worked with Dr. Larry French for two summers and continue to work with him on  my independent senior research exploring the reactivity of nepetalactone using organic chemistry to synthesize new, more complex molecules.

Outside of my classes and lab work I like to take advantage of the outdoor opportunities that St. Lawrence offers. After graduation, I plan on pursuing a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry.
