I began my St. Lawrence career in the pursuit of attending medical school after graduation and while completing the prerequisites courses, I developed an interest in chemistry. This interest, combined with the energetic and empathic professors within the chemistry department, inspired my choice to become a chemistry major. Over the course of my time at St. Lawrence, I have thoroughly enjoyed what the eclectic SLU community has to offer; the biweekly farmer’s market along with natural food stores, make it easy to buy fresh organic produce and handmade goods. My community-inspired interest in nutrition has encouraged me to further my education in both medicine and nutrition. After graduation, I plan on attending naturopathic medical school, while simultaneously pursuing a degree in nutritional science. The academically rigorous, yet rewarding, chemistry courses offered at SLU have given me great confidence that I am prepared for the challenges ahead.
