Chemistry Minor Earns Research Award for Poster Presentation
John Murphy, a chemistry minor and geology major (class of '11), earns honors at the Geology Society of America Annual Meeting & Exposition — Reaching New Peaks in Geoscience, Denver, Colorado, USA (Oct 31 to Nov 3). John presented his research in geochemistry entitled, An Investigation of Stream Chemistry Variability in Watersheds of Central St. Lawrence County, New York, at the Sigma Gamma Epsilon Student Research Poster Session GSA 2010. His efforts earned him best poster award. His faculty mentor was Dr. Jeff Chiarenzelli of the Geology Department and co-mentored by Dr. Matt Skeels of Chemistry.
