This placement is located approximately three miles from campus.  Please note that it may be an approximate 5 minute drive from campus.  According to the Cornell Cooperative Extension website, “The mission of Cornell Cooperative Extension is “to provide unbiased, educational outreach to the North Country through research, education and demonstration in Food and Agricultural Systems, Life Skills, Community Enhancement, Rural Stewardship, and Youth Development.”  Students will have the opportunity to work with a chicken poultry project, raised beds harvesting (create signage), maintenance and cover cropping, Hoop house planting and maintenance, outdoor hog pasture project, planting apple and nut trees, create a tri-fold color handout about invasive/pests and conduct a cost analysis for tree plantings.
