Cornell Cooperative Extension

This placement is located approximately three miles from campus.  Please note that it may be an approximate five minute drive from campus.  According to the Cornell Cooperative Extension website, “The mission of Cornell Cooperative Extension is “to provide unbiased, educational outreach to the North Country through research, education and demonstration in Food and Agricultural Systems, Life Skills, Community Enhancement, Rural Stewardship, and Youth Development.” Students will assist Cornell Cooperative Extension staff with the S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) after-school program for youth grades K-6.  Be ready to inspire, mentor and motivate youth through implementing science curriculum such as birding and winter tracking.
