The NSF offers three-year graduate
fellowships in science, mathematics, and engineering fields to people
who are at or near the beginning of their graduate study. Fellowships
are awarded for study and research leading to doctoral degrees in
the mathematical, physical, biological, engineering, and social
sciences, and in the history and philosophy of science. GRE required.
The stipend is $15,000 for a twelve-month tenure. NSF also provides
fellowship institutions with a cost-of- education allowance of $9,500,
in lieu of all tuition costs and assessed fees.
