Both scholarships aim to encourage
advanced degree study in the field of library service to children. The scholarships
must be used for study toward the M.L.S. degree or other graduate work at
an ALA accredited library school. $5,000. More than 100 awards-many in the
form of cash, scholarships, and research grants are sponsored by the ALA
and its units to foster professional growth. Write for the ALA handbook,
which lists all awards available.
ELIGIBILITY: Applicant must
be planning to work in the field of library service to children.
