Off-Campus Recruiting Events

  • Eastern College Career Day (ECCD) Fall and Spring
St. Lawrence is one of ten schools who coordinates and participates in Eastern College Career Day (ECCD). It is a recruiting event held in the fall and the spring, traditionally held in Boston and New York City. Roughly 30 employers participate in each event. Interested students apply on-line for up to 13 positions they have interest in, and if invited to interview, they attend the event in Boston or New York City. The fall event commonly has finance, education, and consulting firms, while the spring event usually has science/research, law, and publishing companies.
  • Career and Internship Connection (CIC)
The Career and Internship Connection (CIC) is similar to ECCD in that it is in part a recruiting event (meaning you apply in advance and attend with a set interview schedule), but it also has an ‘Open Forum’ where students can meet with employers and try to obtain an interview the day of the event. CIC is held annually in Boston, New York City, Chicago and Washington D.C.
  • Teacher Recruitment Days
School districts from across the country send recruiters to Cortland to conduct interviews for known and anticipated vacancies. Candidates from 15 Central New York colleges and universities will be interviewed on the SUNY College at Cortland campus. The focus of the event is entry-level employment. http://www.oswego.edu/student/career/trd/
