2. Briefly, what is it that you do?
I interface with CEO's of companies and organizations and conduct
managememnt and leadership development training programs for their managers and leadership teams to increase their productivity.
3. What, if any, obstacles did you face trying to get your first job in
this field?
None, I purchased the Crestcom International franchise for Central Florida
4. What advice would you give to students interested in working in your
field?
Grow and devlop to become an outstanding manager and leader in your
organization. Coach, mentor and develop those around you to become leaders. Network with other business leaders in other fields. Join the American Society for Training and Development.
5. What are some of the activities you were involved in while at SLU?
I was President of the International and Domestic Affairs Club, Senator in Student Government, played baseball and basketball. Interned in Washington DC and surveyed various branches of government.
6. How can students best prepare themselves while at SLU?
A quality liberal arts education is an excellent start. Business and management courses are recommended. Management trainee internships with companies and organizations in fields such as marketing, sales, financial, training, etc. are very helpful.
7. In retrospect, is there anything you would have done differently
with regard to your career?
No. I was employed by three outstanding multi-national companies- Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola and FMC Corp. I progressed to higher levels of management in diverse industries and had global marketing experience. I learned best practices from the best in the business. I started my own consulting business and increased my entrepreneurial skills before purchasing and operating my current training franchise.
8. What are your future plans?
To expand my business throughout Central Florida with additional programs, clients, and support team. To become the preferred supplier of these programs in central Florida.
9. Are you willing to talk with students interested in a career in your field? If so, how may they best contact you?
I would be happy to receive emails from 1-2 students monthly who have a genuine interest in management and leadership development and training.
