Canaras Directions and Maps
St. Lawrence University's Canaras Conference Center is centrally located in the Adirondack Park; it is approximately half an hour from Lake Placid, one hour from Plattsburgh, one-and-a-half hours from Canton and St. Lawrence University, two-and-a-half hours from Montreal, three hours from Ottawa and Albany, four hours from Syracuse and six hours from New York City
FROM CANTON: Route 68 south to Route 56 to Route 3 east into Tupper Lake. At Tupper Lake, Routes 3 and 30 combine. Follow 3/30 toward Saranac Lake five miles, then left onto Route 30. Continue approximately eight miles; Canaras is on the right hand side.
FROM OTTAWA: Highway 416 to Bridge to USA, Route 37 west two miles to Route 68, Route 68 to Canton, follow directions from Canton.
FROM PLATTSBURGH: Route 374 to Cadyville, Route 3 to Bloomingdale, County Route 55 west, Route 192 south, Route 86 west, Route 30 south to Canaras.
FROM MONTREAL: Highway 5 and Interstate 87 (the Adirondack Northway) south to exit 38, follow directions from Plattsburgh.
FROM ALBANY: Interstate 87 (the Adirondack Northway) north to exit 30; Routes 9 and 73 to Lake Placid, Route 86 west, Route 30 south to Canaras.
FROM SYRACUSE: Interstate 90 (the New York State Thruway) to exit 31 (Utica), Route 12 north to Alder Creek, Route 28 north to Blue Mountain Lake, Route 30 north to Canaras.
