I'm a hometown Canton kid and I enjoy St. Lawrence University's small town atmosphere. While there’s never a shortage of things to do, it’s always peaceful here.
From the first class, I was drawn to Canadian studies. Even though we’re only 20 miles from the Canadian border, in high school I learned about the United States and our system of government, but not about our Canadian neighbors. It’s refreshing to learn about a whole new system with so many similarities and yet many differences as well. Having the opportunity to sit in on a session of the House of Commons on a Canadian Studies 101 fieldtrip was fascinating.
When I'm not studying here at SLU, I often work on campus. I was employed full time by the university on the buildings & grounds crew last summer.
