Solar Eclipse Observing

Come view the solar eclipse on August 21st! The partial eclipse will start at 1:19 pm, maximum coverage (63%, as viewed from SLU) will occur at 2:37 pm, and the partial eclipse will end just before 4:00 pm. Eclipse glasses will be available, and I'll have solar-safe telescopes and binoculars available for viewing in front of the Sullivan Student Center. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the show! As part of its continuing efforts to spotlight the stories of African asylum-seekers in Israel, Weave News is pleased to present a public screening of the new documentary film Never Give Up, Never Keep Silent. Directed by Quester Hannah, the film chronicles the struggles of Sudanese refugees who are fighting for asylum in Israel after fleeing genocide in their home country.
