St. Lawrence University seeks to fill a full time, Principal Clerk position in the Business Office. Under the supervision of the Controller, provide general accounting support including data entry, accepting and processing cash deposits, reviewing daily banking activity and reconciling to cash management spreadsheet and database entries. This position also assists with adding money to campus accounts, issuing travel advances and refunds and running reports from various related systems. Additional related work assigned.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree preferred. Minimum of three years of work experience in accounting or bookkeeping required. Good communication skills, both written and oral are essential. Experience with computer systems and software such as Microsoft Excel is required. Ability to learn related systems required.
