Fifth Annual Brain Blast Scheduled for Friday, March 22nd
In celebration of Brain Awareness Week, the fifth annual Brain Blast celebration will be held on Friday March 22nd from 3-5:30 pm in the Johnson Hall of Science lobby. This event will feature faculty and students leading various hands-on and interactive exhibits that highlight the wide variety of neuroscience research being conducted at SLU in an effort to teach individuals of all ages about brain function. Walk at your own pace through the various exhibits to learn about the lobes of the brain, taste, sensation and perception, concussions, and more! It is slated to be an afternoon full of science and fun! This event is free and open to the public. Sponsored by SLU Neuroscience Program, Beta Beta Beta (Biology Honorary) and Psi Chi (Psychology Honorary).
Brain awareness week (BAW) is a global campaign founded by the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives to increase public awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research. Hundreds of BAW events take place each year all over the world.
