Eddie Richter '12 wins Best Student Presentation

Edward (Eddie) Richter '12, of Genoa, NY, won the Best Student Presentation award for presentation of his thesis, "Ecology of Roadside Mosses," at the New York Flora Association's Northeast Natural History conference, held recently in Syracuse.

Presenters in the student category included undergraduates, master's-level students and Ph.D. candidates. The award letter to Richter stated, "Your innovative approach to roadside ecology drew our attention to the important role of mosses in this often overlooked habitat."

Richter studied in New Zealand, through St. Lawrence's International and Intercultural Study Program, and has a minor in chemistry. He is a member of Beta Beta Beta, the biology honor society, and participated in spring break Habitat for Humanity trips.
