This year is the tenth anniversary of the publication of the first DNA sequence of a human genome. Since 2004, technology has improved so much that you can now have your genome sequenced in a few days for less than $3000. This technological leap is revolutionizing genetic research and the practice of medicine. Even so, significant challenges need to be resolved to integrate genomic science and medicine.
