Grace Segrave '15

2011-12: A key contributor to the Saints' National Team Championship, Grace was fourth in novice over fences in team competition at nationals to earn valuable points toward the championship. A consistent winner throughout the show season, her second place finish at Zones helped the Saints lock up their spot at nationals. She also rode novice on the flat during her first year on the team.


Grace was an award winning rider while in high school and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Lauryn Tannenhaus '15

Blair Academy
2011-12: Lauryn had a strong first season on the team, competing in intermediate fences and novice on the flat. She had a trio of wins in the fall sason with two over fences and one on the flat, and also had a second and a third in intermediate fences.

Lauryn comes to the Saint riding program with extensive riding experience in the New Jersey Horse Show Association. She attended Blair Academy.

Anna Haron '15

Kearsarge Regional

2011-12: Anna played a big role in the Saints 2012 IHSA National Team Championship, finishing fourth in walk-trot-canter at the championship show to gain key points for the Saints. She was 3rd in the zone competition to help the Saints advance to nationals as a team and had four wins and a third in fall competitions.


Anna was a member of the track and alpine ski teams at Kearsarge Regional and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Emily D'Alessandro '15

2011-12: Emily became the 20th national champion in Saint program history when she won the individual title in intermediate competition on the flat. She was regional and zone champion in intermediate on the flat and also won her class in open over fences at the Region II Championship show. She was a consistent top three finisher throughout her first season of intercollegiate riding in both open fences and intermediate flat.She had four wins in the two spring shows and was high point rider at Cazenovia.


Emily played volleyball at John Barlow in addition to riding.

Gwendolyn Bailey '15

Nashoba Regional

2011-12: Gwen competed in novice on the flat and novice over fences in her first year on the riding team and posted top three finishes in both events in the Geneseo show.

At Nashoba Regional: Gwen ran track and played golf in addition to riding while in high school and captained the riding and track teams. She was an honor roll student.

Jamie Tempesta '15

Harwood Union

2011-12: Jamie rode intermediate over fences and intermediate on the flat in her first year on the team and had wins in both classes plus two other top three finishes during the fall season.

Jamie was captain of the basketball team and earned the Principal's Student-Athlete Award at Harwood Union in addition to riding. She was a member of the National Honor Society and an honor roll student.

Emma Sutphen '15

2011-12: Emma rode intermediate on the flat in her first season on the team and had a top finish of second at Geneseo in the fall.

Emma was a Connecticut Hunter and Jumper Association/Connecticut Horse Show Association Champion while in high school and qualified for national and regional events. She was a member of the National Honor Society and a high honors student.

Senior Suzanne Snyder finished third in the team competition in open equitation on the flat at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championship Show at Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington on Saturday, lifting the St. Lawrence University equestrian team to a tie with Zone rival Skidmore College for the 2011 Reserve National Championship.

Gunnell, Miller Win National Titles as Saints Continue to Shine

St. Lawrence University’s riding team added its third and fourth national champions of the 2011 Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championship Show and remains third in the team standings heading into Saturday’s final two events.

Zuraitis Wins National Championship, Koivu First in Team Class

Sophomore Casey  Zuraitis became St. Lawrence University's first national champion since 2008 and just the sixth rider in program history to win a fences class when she won the individual national championship in Intermediate Equitation over Fences at the 2011 Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championship Show on Thursday.
