Dr. James R. Wallace

Dr. James R. Wallace, an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department, serves as one of the Faculty Representatives to the Athletic Department along with Dr. Cheryl P. Stuntz.  Wallace and Stuntz are also the men's hockey team's Faculty/Staff Mentors.  

Dr. Wallace graduated with a BA in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame in 1970. He then earned his Master's Degree in the same field before earning his Ph.D in Developmental Psychology in 1974.

He regularly teaches Developmental Psychology at St. Lawrence University, along with seminars in developmental topics and Introductory Psychology.

Union Turns Back Saints 4-2

A promising first 40 minutes melted in the third period as Union College scored three unanswered goals in the final 20 minutes to post a 4-2 ECAC Hockey victory over St. Lawrence on Saturday night.

McKenzie Passes 100 as Saints, RPI Tie 3-3

St. Lawrence senior Mike McKenzie figured in all three goals, passing the 100 point plateau in the process as the Saints skated to a 3-3 tie with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at the Houston Field House Friday night.

McKenzie Scores Overtime Winner at Colgate

Mike McKenzie's 99th career point in his St. Lawrence University hockey career may turn into a big point in the ECAC Hockey standings as McKenzie was credited with the game winning goal with 42 seconds to play in overtime as the Saints tipped Colgate 3-2 Saturday night to gain a split of its road weekend.

Cornell Scores Late, Wins Goaltending Battle 2-1

Junior wing Patrick Kennedy snapped a 1-1 tie with just 1:37 to go in regulation time as Cornell ended St. Lawrence University's four-game unbeaten streak with a 2-1 victory at sold-out Lynah Rink Friday night.

Vermeulen, Tisi Earn Awards

Kain Tisi was named ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week for the second straight week and the third time this season and Travis Vermeulen earned his second straight ECAC Hockey Player of the Week award and was named Inside College Hockey's National Player of the Week after leading the Saints to a sweep of Brown and Yale last weekend.

Senior center Travis Vermeulen scored two goals and assisted on two others as St. Lawrence University upended nationally ranked Yale 4-2 in a Eastern College Athletic Conference Division I hockey game at Appleton Arena Saturday afternoon.

Drewiske Sends Saints To 5-2 Win Over Brown

Sophomore forward Jacob Drewiske had his second two-goal game of the season leading St. Lawrence University to a 5-2 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division I men's hockey win over Brown University at Appleton Arena Friday night.

Saints, Cornell Battle to 1-1 Tie

Goaltenders Kain Tisi of St. Lawrence and Ben Scrivens of Cornell stole the show Saturday night as St. Lawrence and the nationally-ranked Big Red skated to a 1-1 ECAC Division I tie at Appleton Arena in Canton.<--break->

Tisi, who stopped 47 of 48 shots in registering a 4-0 shutout of Colgate on Saturday and the 1-1 tie with Cornell on Sunday, helped the Saints pick up three points on the weekend. Scrivens, who made 35 saves in Saturday's game, helped flu-ridden Cornell, ranked eighth nationally in one poll and ninth in another, come away with a three point weekend as well. SLU is 11-8-4 overall and 5-3-2 in league play after Saturday's game while Cornell is now 9-4-3 overall and 7-2-2 in the ECAC.

McKenzie Ignites Saints in 4-0 Win Over Colgate

Senior forward Mike McKenzie snapped a scoreless tie with his fifth goal of the year at 9:18 of the third period and the goal opened the floodgates as St. Lawrence University scored three times in a span of 2:23 to come away with a 4-0 win over Colgate University in a ECAC Division I hockey game at Appleton Arena Friday night.
