made 41 saves and junior wing Eric Kroshus scored two goals including an empty
netter as Harvard University held off a late rally by St. Lawrence University
for a 4-2 ECAC Hockey victory at SLU's Appleton Arena Friday night.
St. Lawrence University hockey players swept the ECAC Hockey
MLX Skates weekly awards following their home victories over Cornell and
Colgate as sophomore center Kyle Flanagan was named Player of the Week and
freshman goaltender Matt Weninger earned both Goaltender of the Week and Rookie
of the Week honors.

third period and freshman goaltender Matt Weninger made 29 saves for his first
collegiate shutout as St. Lawrence University opened its ECAC Hockey season
with a 3-0 win over 19th-ranked Cornell at Appleton Arena in Canton
Friday night.
There weren't a lot of treats for
St. Lawrence University's men's hockey team at the Halloween Faceoff at the
1980 Rink in Herb Brooks Arena at Lake Placid as despite outplaying arch-rival
Clarkson for most of the game, the Saints lost 2-1 in overtime and are now
winless in their first seven games of the 2010-11 season.
Junior wing Greg Squires scored a
power play goal from the center point with eight minutes to play in regulation
time to tie the game at 3-3 and goaltenders Nick Pisellini of Western Michigan
and Matt Weninger of St. Lawrence kept it that way through the rest of
regulation and overtime as WMU and St. Lawrence skated to a 3-3 draw at
Appleton Arena Saturday night.

used two goals just 42 seconds apart in the first period to set the stage for a
3-1 NCAA Division I men’s hockey victory over St. Lawrence Friday night.
Senior goaltender Pat Nagle posted a 26-save shutout as
Ferris State skated to a 3-0 NCAA Division I hockey victory over St. Lawrence
at Big Rapids, MI Saturday night, completing a weekend sweep of the Saints.
Senior center Nate Hennig staked Ferris State to a two-goal
lead early in the third period and the Bulldogs went on to a 4-2 win over St.
Lawrence in the first game of a two game weekend series between the Saints and
Ferris State in Big Rapids, MI Friday night.
