Saints Go Out With a Roar, Beat Vermont 6-4

Senior Nick Pitsikoulis and freshman Greg Carey scored two goals each as St. Lawrence University matched its most productive night of the season with a six goal outburst to finish the 2010 portion of the 2010-11 season with a 6-4 win over Vermont on Saturday night.

Laperriere Named To ECAC Hockey Top 50 Team

 

Former St. Lawrence University defenseman Dan Laperriere has been selected as one of the members of the ECAC's top 50 players, named as part of the ECAC Hockey 50th Anniversary Celebration.

Big Second Period Propels Princeton, 5-1

Princeton took advantage of St. Lawrence University penalties in the second period, scoring three power play goals, two of them in the final two minutes of the period, skating to a 5-1 win over the Saints in a ECAC Hockey game at Hobey Baker Rink Saturday evening.

St. Lawrence University's offensive woes continued at Clarkson on Saturday night as while the Saints outshot the Golden Knights 25-18, they were limited to one goal in a 3-1 loss at Cheel Arena in Potsdam.

Sophomore center Kyle Flanagan snapped a scoreless tie with a five-on-three power play goal 6:47 into the third period and freshman goaltender Matt Weninger made 29 saves for his first collegiate shutout as St. Lawrence University opened its ECAC Hockey season with a 3-0 win over 19th-ranked Cornell at Appleton Arena in Canton Friday night.
