Harris Leads Saint Golfers at Hamilton Fall Invitational

Junior John Harris had his second top-ten finish of the fall season to lead St. Lawrence University's men's golf team to a ninth place finish in the 16-team, 91-player Hamilton Invitational on Sunday.

The duo of John Harris and Melissa Snizek led the Scarlet Team to a solid 10.5-4.5 victory in the first annual S&B Ryder Cup Tournament for the St. Lawrence University men's and women's golf teams at the St. Lawrence University Golf Course on Thursday.

St. Lawrence University's men's golf team finished third, 21 strokes off the winning pace, after the 2011 ECAC Upstate and Metro Division III Golf Championship at Blue Heron Hills near Rochester was cut to a one-day tournament due to rain on Sunday.

St. John Fisher College shot back-to-back scores of 293 to take a three-stroke win over Waterloo of Canada in the annual St. Lawrence University Collegiate Invitational on the St. Lawrence golf course Sunday afternoon.

At South Kent: Chris was the coaches award winner in prep school hockey and was an honor roll student as a sophomore, junior and senior.

A two-year member of the squash team, Dixon Mallory joins the golf team for the first time as a junior.

At Brunswick School: Dixon played squash and golf and was captain of the golf team. He is majoring in economics and Asian Studies at St. Lawrence.
