Saunders Named to 2010 All-East Region Team

Dec. 16: St. Lawrence University junior defensive back Trevor Saunders earned a spot on D3football.com's 2010 All-East Region Team for the first time in his collegiate career.

Mount Union Rolls 49-0 in NCAA Playoffs


St. Lawrence University's first NCAA Division III playoff appearance in 28 years did not follow a Cinderella script at second-ranked Mount Union on Saturday as the deep and talented Purple Raiders rolled to a 49-0 win over the Saints in Alliance, OH.

Thirteen Saints Earn All-Conference, Raymond Coach of the Year

Nov. 16: The Liberty League announced its annual award winners and All-Conference teams for football on Tuesday and St. Lawrence University had 13 student-athletes earn accolades.  Meanwhile, head coach Mark Raymond and his staff was voted the 2010 Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year.

Dr. Elizabeth Regosin

Dr. Elizabeth Regosin will continue to serve as a Faculty/Staff Mentor to both the football and women's hockey teams in 2012-13.

"I came to the department of history at St. Lawrence University in the fall of 1997. I teach courses in American history, African American history, and American Women's history. I have also participated in SLU's First-Year Program with colleagues from the English and Sociology departments.

I am currently teaching in the program with a colleague from Philosophy. Our course is entitled "Making a Difference: Active Citizenship in a Healthy Democracy." With its strong teaching mission, SLU is the perfect place for me. I enjoy having the opportunity to interact with my students both in class and in a variety of ways outside the classroom." - Dr. Regosin

Saints to Face Mount Union, Coach Raymond on "Inside the HuddLLe"

Nov. 14: The St. Lawrence University football team will head to Alliance, OH to face nationally-ranked #2 Mount Union in the opening round of the Division III NCAA Football Playoffs on Saturday, November 20.  Meanwhile, head coach Mark Raymond will be featured on this week's radio broadcast of "Inside the HuddLLe," a show dedicated to the coverage of Liberty League football.

Washington Sets Record, Saints Drop WPI in Regular Season Finale

Nov. 13:  The St. Lawrence University football team were crowned the 2010 Liberty League champions for the first time in the program's history with a 27-7 win over WPI on Saturday afternoon on Weeks Field at Leckonby Stadium in Canton, NY.  Junior Marcus Washington set the University single game rushing record, while the team honored its 16 members of the Class of 2011 on "Senior Day." 

NCAA Bound: Saints Clinch 2010 Liberty League Title

Nov. 6: Rensselaer's Peter Nilson connected with a 34-yard field goal as time expired, lifting the Engineers to a 24-21 victory over Hobart College on Saturday in Troy, NY.  The Hobart loss clinches at least a share of the 2010 Liberty League championship for St. Lawrence.  With all tie-breakers in their corner, the Scarlet and Brown are assured of a bid to the 2010 NCAA Tournament, the first for the program since 1982.

Saints Lose First Conference Game to Rochester, 34-14

Nov. 6: The St. Lawrence University football team suffered its first conference loss of the 2010 season on Saturday afternoon, as the University of Rochester spoiled the Saints' bid to clinch the Liberty League title by the score of 34-14 at Edwin Fauver Stadium in Rochester, NY.

Nov. 6: The St. Lawrence University football team will look to clinch the program's first Liberty League championship on Saturday against the University of Rochester.  Fans can both watch or listen to the game live online!

Saints Shut Down RPI 14-3, Remain Unbeaten in Conference

Oct. 23: The St. Lawrence University football team's defense forced two interceptions and six turnovers on downs against Rensselaer on Saturday, while the offense piled up 147 yards rushing and a pair of touchdown passes by senior JP Kearney.  The team's efforts allowed the Saints to improve to 4-0 in Liberty League play behind the 14-3 victory over the Engineers at Leckonby Stadium.
