Brett McAllister

Brett McAllister joined the St. Lawrence University football coaching staff during the spring of 2013, and will serve as the outside linebackers coach for the upcoming season.

McAllister graduated from Bates College in May of 2012 with a bachelor's degree in history. A four-year letter-winner on the Bates football team, he started all eight games of his sophomore, junior and senior seasons for Bates at outside linebacker, totaling 176 tackles in all (123 solo), with nine sacks and seven interceptions.

As a sophomore, McAllister led the NESCAC in both solo tackles (51) and fumble recoveries (3); he also led the Bobcats in sacks in both his junior and senior seasons. As a freshman he was listed at defensive back, and saw action in six of eight games.

Coach McAllister spent the fall of 2012 coaching the outside linebackers at his alma matter, where he was also the assistant special teams coordinator and in charge of all in-season defensive film breakdowns. He is certified in CPR and in the use of an AED.

2011: Heath played in four games along the defensive front for the Saints as a rookie, recording three tackles including two against nationally-ranked Alfred.

Heath was a dual-sport athlete, participating in football as well as track and field. The Rochester, NY native served as a team captain for the football squad in his senior season on the way to earning All-Conference accolades.

Trent Mossbrucker

Trent Mossbrucker, a former kicker at the University of Iowa, joined the St. Lawrence University football team's coaching staff in the spring of 2013. Mossbrucker, who will coach the receivers in his first season, graduated in December of 2012 from Iowa with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communication Studies and History.

During his time with the Hawkeyes, Trent was a member of teams that were selected to play in the BCS Orange Bowl, the Outback Bowl and the Insight.com Bowl. He was chosen to participate in leadership retreats and performed community outreach while representing the Iowa football program.

Following his playing career, Mossbrucker worked with the Norm Parker Football Class as a teaching assistant and as a sales intern at Business & Financial Strategies. However, he remained active with the Hawkeyes as a special teams intern, where he broke down video, assisted in special teams game-planning and met with linebackers and special teams coach LeVar Woods to complete assigned tasks.

Saints Host Annual Awards Banquet

Feb. 21: The St. Lawrence University football program hosted its annual awards banquet on Saturday, February 16 on campus at Eben Holden. Head coach Mark Raymond presented five players the team's annual honors, including seniors Joe Napolitano, Houston Judd and Derek Delzer.

Napolitano Named NFF Scholar-Athlete Award Recipient

Jan. 29: Senior linebacker Joe Napolitano was recently honored as St. Lawrence University's National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete for 2012 at a banquet hosted on Sunday, January 27 at the Turning Stone Casino and Resort in Verona, NY.

Six Saints Earn All-Conference Honors

Nov. 15: The Liberty League announced the All-Conference teams for football this week, and six players from St. Lawrence University were amongst those honored. Senior captain Oraene Morgan and junior Mike Tateosian were second team selections, while Victor Coker Jr., Don Rohauer, Ryan Schmidt and Joe Napolitano received Honorable Mention status.

Saints Donate Over $7,000 to the USO: Fort Drum

Nov. 15: The St. Lawrence University football team raised money throughout the 2012 season to benefit troops facing hardships at Fort Drum in Watertown, NY.

Mariners Top Saints 33-12, Win Hoffman Cup

Nov. 10: The St. Lawrence University football team fell to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on Saturday afternoon at Brooks Stadium in Kings Point, NY by the score of 33-12 in the season finale. Quarterback Alex Coviello led the Mariners to the win, which both won the Hoffman Cup in the annual game and sealed a .500 season for the first time since 2003.
