Johnston, Newman Honored by Liberty League

Dec. 13: St. Lawrence University junior John Johnston of the men's cross country team has been named the 2010 Liberty League Runner of the Year.  Head coach John Newman and his staff also earned one of the conference's major awards, as they were named the Coaching Staff of the Year.

Three All-Americas Lead Saints to Third Place Overall

Nov. 20:  The St. Lawrence University men's cross-country team posted a third place overall finish at the 2010 NCAA Championship race and the program's best finish ever.  Leading the Saints was junior Steve Kiplagat who earned fourth place overall as well as All-American honors.  Junior John Johnston and senior Jeremy Mwenda also finished in the top-20 to earn All-America status.

NCAA Preview: “Avenue of the Saints”

Nov. 18: The travel party consisting of the St. Lawrence University men's and women's cross country teams headed from St. Paul, MN to Waverly, IA today en route for the NCAA Championships on Saturday, November 20.  Fittingly, perhaps, that this stretch of highway is referred to as "Avenue of the Saints," as both squads practiced at the Max Cross Country Course at Wartburg College for the first time on Thursday afternoon.

Saints Qualify For Nationals, 2nd at Atlantic Regional

St. Lawrence University's men's cross country team placed four runners in the top ten and earned a trip to Waverly, IA for next weekend's NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships with a second place finish in the Atlantic Regional on a 8000 meter course at Fortin Park in Oneonta on Saturday.

Nov. 12: Fans, alumni and parents can watch the 2010 NCAA Atlantic Regional men's and women's cross country races live from Fortin Park when the student-athletes toe the line tomorrow, Saturday, November 13 in Oneonta, NY. 

Johnston Paces Saints to 17th Straight Conference Crown

Oct. 30: The No. 6 St. Lawrence University men's cross country team won the 2010 Liberty League Championship in impressive fashion on Saturday in Geneva, NY, as the Saints scored the minimum 15 points after taking the top-5 spots.  Junior John Johnston picked up his first collegiate victory and led the Saints to the program's 17th consecutive conference title.

Ramsey, Saints Win NYSCTC Title in Record Fashion

Oct. 23: The St. Lawrence University men's cross country team, ranked sixth in the nation, claimed the 2010 NYSCTC Championship on Saturday in Saratoga Springs, NY. The Saints, led by senior captain Dan Ramsey, won the state crown with 19 points, the lowest total since 1953.

Mwenda Wins, Saints Take Top-5 Places at Hoffmann Invitational

Oct. 9: The St. Lawrence University men's cross country team, ranked fifth in the USTFCCCA national polls, took the top-5 places and 11 of the top-13 en route to the 2010 Ronald C. Hoffmann Invitational championship on Saturday in Canton, NY.  Senior Jeremy Mwenda earned the individual crown, while sophomore Ram Rakoc followed as the runner-up.

No. 8 Saints Finish 22nd at Paul Short Invitational

Oct. 1: The St. Lawrence University men's cross country team, ranked eighth in the national polls, posted an impressive 22nd place finish at the multi-divisional 2010 Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, PA on Friday.  The Saints were the second Division III school overall, finishing only four points ahead of No. 3 Allegheny while defeating nationally-ranked No. 4 Haverford by nearly 40 points.

Sept. 29: Both the St. Lawrence University men's and women's cross country teams are both in the top-10 of the USTFCCCA national poll this week, and you can watch the Saints compete at the 2010 Paul Short Invitational on Friday!
