2012: Ben raced in three events for the Saints as a rookie with a top finish of 13th in the North Country Five. He was 63rd in the Hoffmann Invitational and 86th in his first Liberty League Championship.

Ben ran cross country and track and field at Kingswood Oxford School and was MVP for cross country.

2012: Will had a top finish of seventh in the North Country Invitational in four races during his rookie season. He was 58th in the Hoffmann Invitational an and competed in the Liberty League Championship.

Will ran cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field in high school and was a three-time all conference selection and a three-season captain. He was an honor roll student.

2012: The individual champion in the North Country Five meet, Ellis was 25th in his first collegiate meet at Plattsburgh. He was 69th in the Hoffmann Invitational and finished 80th in his first Liberty League championship meet.

Ellis was an eight-time all star and a two-year captain in cross country and indoor and outdoor track at the Bromfield School, helping his teams to three league championships. He was a honor roll student.

 

 

Bryan Geiger '16

2012: Bryan ran in three races for the Saints in his rookie season with a top finish of 23rd in the North Country Five. He also competed in the Hoffmann Invitational and the Liberty League Championship.

Bryan ran cross country and track and field and played ice hockey at Tupper Lake High School. He was captain, MVP and a second-team All Northern athlete. A member of the National Honor Society, he was a honor roll student.

 

 

Phil Marshall '16

2012: Phil first cracked the Saint top seven with a 19th place finish in the Hoffmann Invitational and stayed in the top seven the rest of the season. He was the fifth Siant finisher in the NYSCTC Championship with an 18th place finish, and after an off-day at the Liberty League Championship, bounced back with solid showings in both the Atlantic Regional and the NCAA Championship, finishing 258th and scoring 202 in the NCAA meet.

Phil was cross country MVP in 2009, Nordic ski captain in 2011 and 2012 and Nordic ski MVP in 2012. He was a member of the cross country, Nordic ski and track and field teams at Glebe Collegiate and plans on competing in all three sports at St. Lawrence. He was the Ronald Ames Memorial Award winner for combined academic and athletic accomplishment and an Ontario Scholar.

2012: Liberty League Rookie of the Week after a third place finish at Plattsburgh, Harrison ran in five races for the Saints as a rookie. He finished 37th in the NYSCTC Championship and was 78th in the Liberty League Championship.

Harrison was an All-Ontario and All-Canadian athlete while competing in cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field at Father John Redmond. He was team captain and MVP and was an honor roll student, earning the Gary Cameron Memorial Bursary and Ontario Scholar honors.

 

Adam Bankert '16

2012: Adam had a 12th place finish in the North Country 5 and was 74th in the Liberty League Championship and 78th in the Hoffmann Invitational in three races in his rookie season.

Adam was a three-year cross country captain and earned league all star honors in three straight seasons at Clinton High School. He was fifth team all state in Class C in 2010 and was a three-yar MVP. A honor roll student, he also played basketball and ran indoor and outdoor track. He was the 2011-12 Oneida County "Good Citizen" Award winner and was a presented a diploma of distinguished community service.

Trio of Saints Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

Feb. 14: The St. Lawrence University cross country teams produced three United States Track and Field and Cross Country Association All-Academic honorees for the 2011 season.

Saints Sweep Annual Liberty League Awards

Dec. 1: The St. Lawrence University men's cross country team swept the 2011 annual Liberty League awards, with senior John Johnston earning Runner of the Year, Scott Smolensky winning Rookie of the Year, and John Newman and Kate Curran being named Coaching Staff of the Year.

Johnston and Kiplagat are All-Americans as Saints Finish Eighth

Nov. 19: The St. Lawrence University men's cross country team finished in eighth place overall at the 2011 NCAA Championships on Saturday in Winneconne, WI.  Seniors John Johnston and Steve Kiplagat finished in third and 12th place overall, respectively, earning All-America honors.
