Paul Doty

Paul Doty will serve as the men's cross country team's Faculty/Staff Mentor for the 2011-2012 season.

Paul is charged with reference, that is, with helping students integrate both the print and electronic materials into their research in ways that move them along intellectually, and help faculty find the materials that are the substance of their syllabi and research. In the academic year, Paul will be working to expand consultation and outreach services, so that the depth and breadth of library resources are better understood and utilized.

Paul supervises the Interlibrary Loan Department, and questions about ConnectNY or other interlibrary loan services should go to him. Paul will be teaching in the FYP in the Fall 2008 semester, and will offer a course on Alan Turing this Spring for FYS. He has a B.A. in English from Keene State College, and an M.A. in English from the University of Maine. His Master's in Library Science is from SUNY Albany.

Saints Sweep Annual Liberty League Awards

Dec. 1: The St. Lawrence University men's cross country team swept the 2011 annual Liberty League awards, with senior John Johnston earning Runner of the Year, Scott Smolensky winning Rookie of the Year, and John Newman and Kate Curran being named Coaching Staff of the Year.

Johnston and Kiplagat are All-Americans as Saints Finish Eighth

Nov. 19: The St. Lawrence University men's cross country team finished in eighth place overall at the 2011 NCAA Championships on Saturday in Winneconne, WI.  Seniors John Johnston and Steve Kiplagat finished in third and 12th place overall, respectively, earning All-America honors.

Saints Win Atlantic Regional, Earn NCAA Championship Berth

Nov. 12: The St. Lawrence University men's cross country team, ranked 11th in the national standings, captured the program's first Atlantic Regional title since 2000 on Saturday afternoon in Canton, NY.  With the victory, the Scarlet and Brown have earned an automatic berth into the field at the 2011 NCAA Championships next Saturday, November 19 in Winneconne, WI.

Saints Prepared to Compete for 2011 Atlantic Regional Titles

Nov. 10: The St. Lawrence University men's and women's cross country teams are set to host the 2011 NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships this weekend at the Ronald C. Hoffmann Cross Country Course in Canton, NY.  Both teams will be in search of a top-two finish in the team standings, which automatically earns a bid into the NCAA Championship next weekend in Winneconne, Wisconsin.

Johnston Repeats, Saints Claim 18th Consecutive League Crown

Oct. 29: The nationally-ranked No. 10 St. Lawrence University men's cross country team won the program's 18th straight conference championship on Saturday in Poughkeepsie, NY, claiming the 2011 Liberty League title. Senior John Johnston won the individual title for the second straight year with a time of 25:50.

Johnston, Saints Win NYSCTC Cross Country Championships

Senior John Johnston steadily pulled away from the field on a soggy and muddy Ronald C. Hoffmann Cross Country Course at St. Lawrence University on Saturday, winning the individual championship by five seconds and leading the Saint men's cross country team to its third straight New York State Collegiate Track Conference Cross Country Championship.

Four Saints in Top-10 at Hoffmann/Pre-Regional

Oct. 8: Four members of the nationally-ranked No. 11 St. Lawrence University men's cross country team earned top-10 finishes on Saturday at the 2011 Hoffmann Invitational/Pre-Regional race on Saturday in Canton, NY.  Leading the way was senior John Johnston, who finished in second place overall out of 265 runners, lifting the host team to second place in the team standings.
