Brewers Down Saints, 3-2

Sept. 24:  Despite battling back from a 2-0 deficit to force a fifth set, the St. Lawrence University volleyball team suffered a tough 3-2 loss against Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY on Saturday afternoon.  The scores were 25-13, 25-14, 22-25, 21-25, 15-11. 

Saints Top RIT, Bard

Sept. 23:  The St. Lawrence University volleyball team rebounded from Tuesday's loss against Clarkson to defeat Liberty League opponents RIT and Bard in Annandale-On-Hudson, NY on Friday night.  The Saints topped the Tigers, 3-2, despite falling behind by two sets (18-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-22, 15-13), then followed that win with a 3-0 sweep of the Raptors in the nightcap by the scores of 25-20, 25-12, 25-13.

Clarkson Sweeps Saints in 2011 Liberty League Opener

Sept. 20: The St. Lawrence University volleyball team dropped its opening Liberty League contest of the 2011 season on Tuesday night, as Clarkson University used outstanding defense to blank the Saints, 3-0.

Saints Split Again, Finish RIT Tournament 2-2

Sept. 17: The St. Lawrence University volleyball team earned another split in the second day of the RIT Tournament in Rochester, NY on Saturday.  The Saints won the first match against Geneseo State by the score of 3-1 (26-24, 25-18, 16-25, 25-15), but, despite winning the first set of the nightcap, fell to St. John Fisher by the score of 3-1 (16-25, 25-18, 27-25, 25-21). 

Saints Split on Opening Day at RIT Tournament

Sept. 16:  The St. Lawrence University volleyball team split on the opening day of competition at the RIT Tournament in Rochester, NY.  The Saints opened up with a 3-1 victory (27-25, 25-11, 22-25, 25-22) over Brockport state before falling 3-0 to Nazareth (25-19, 25-17, 25-23) in the nightcap.

Saints Knock Off Bears, 3-0

Sept. 13:  The St. Lawrence University volleyball team upended Potsdam State by the score of 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-16) on Tuesday night in Potsdam, NY. 

Miller Records 1,000th Kill, Saints Drop Two

Sept. 10:  Senior co-captain Nyasha Miller recorded her 1,000th career kill in the Saints 3-1 loss to St. Michael's College on Saturday afternoon.  The Mt. Kisco, NY native totalled 28 kills on the day and becomes only the third player in the program's history to surpass the 1,000 kill milestone.

Saints Come From Behind To Beat SUNYIT, 3-2

Sept. 8:  Seniors Nyasha Miller, Liz Grogan and Marta Johann combined for 54 kills as the St. Lawrence University volleyball team came from behind to defeat SUNYIT, 3-2 (23-25, 19-25, 25-21, 25-17, 15-12) today in the opening game of the Victory Promotions tournament.  The Saints then fell to Southern Vermont College in the nightcap, 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 27-25).   

Saints Defeat Cardinals, 3-1

Sept. 6:  The St. Lawrence University volleyball team defeated Plattsburgh State 3-1 (25-23, 24-26, 25-17, 25-21) on Tuesday night in Plattsburgh, NY. 

Saints Sweep Wildcats, Finish Weekend 3-1

Sept. 3:  The St. Lawrence University volleyball team rebounded from a 3-0 loss to Baruch earlier in the day as it swept past Cazenovia College in its final game of the North Country Classic.  The Saints gathered 18 service aces against the Wildcats, including eight from junior Kayla Twardzik, en route to the 3-0 victory (25-12, 25-13, 25-10).  Senior co-captain Nyasha Miller earned a spot on the All-Tournament team as she recorded her 1,000th career dig, finishing the weekend with 53 digs and 46 kills.
