Oct. 12: The St. Lawrence University volleyball team defeated Wells College 25-17, 25-8, 25-13 to earn a split on Friday at the 2012 Ithaca Tournament in Ithaca, NY. The Saints fell to the hosting Bombers in the opening match 3-1 (26-24, 25-23, 20-25, 25-17).
Oct. 2: The St. Lawrence University volleyball team saw a 2-1 lead slip away on Tuesday evening, as Potsdam State came from behind in dramatic fashion to earn a 3-2 victory in Potsdam, NY, 22-25, 25-20, 26-28, 25-23, 15-9.
Sept. 29: The St. Lawrence University volleyball team
competed in a Liberty League crossover weekend at Skidmore and Union, with the
Saints closing with a 1-3 record. The
Scarlet and Brown swept Bard, but fell to Skidmore (3-0), Vassar (3-1) and
Union (3-1).
Sept. 25: The St. Lawrence University volleyball team held
on to defeat North Country rival Plattsburgh State on Tuesday night in the
Burkman Gymnasium by the score of 3-2.
The Saints were led by first-year student Lexi Brown, who totaled 22
kills en route to the 21-25, 25-18, 25-18, 20-25, 15-9 non-conference victory.
Sept. 22: The St. Lawrence University volleyball team
suffered a 3-1 loss to RIT on Saturday in the team's final match of a Liberty
League round robin in Rochester, NY. RIT's
Cat Sullivan led the Tigers with 12 kills and only two errors, as the host school
picked up the league win, 28-26, 20-25, 25-18, 25-15.
Sept. 21: The St. Lawrence University volleyball team picked
up a 3-0 win over Bard College on Friday night in Rochester, NY, earning the
team's first Liberty League win of the 2012 season. The Saints followed a straight-set loss to
Vassar with a 25-20, 25-10, 25-18 victory over the Raptors.
Sept. 18: The St. Lawrence University volleyball
team lost its 2012 conference opener on Tuesday night, as Clarkson University
topped the Saints 25-16, 25-21, 25-16 in Potsdam, NY.
Sept. 15: The St. Lawrence University volleyball team earned
a Saturday split and snapped a four-match losing skid behind a five-game
victory over St. John Fisher to close the 2012 RIT Tournament.
Sept. 14: The St. Lawrence University volleyball team was
swept on Friday in their opening matches of the 2012 RIT Invitational in
Rochester, NY. The Saints lost 3-0 to
the University of Rochester and New York University, falling to 3-8 on the
season.
Sept. 11: The St. Lawrence University volleyball team fell
to Potsdam State on Tuesday evening at the Burkman Gymnasium by the score of
3-1. Despite leading in every game, the
Saints lost 25-17, 23-25, 25-21, 25-23 to fall to 3-6 on the season.
