"We knew that doubles would be the key to victory in today's match, as they're a very solid singles team," said St. Lawrence head coach Jeremy Freeman. "I think we're gaining momentum heading into next weekend against Nazareth and Rochester."

Finn and Gilman led 8-7 in the match, but their opponents were able to hold serve to force a tiebreaker. Though Skidmore pushed the Saints' duo to the brink several times, the home team battled back and staved off the loss until Robison and Loeb were able to escape with a 13-11 tiebreaker win.

Saints Lose Matches to Macalester and Allegheny, 7-2

Mar. 18: The St. Lawrence University women's tennis team dropped each of their opening two matches in Hilton Head, SC by the score of 7-2 to both Macalester and Allegheny. The Saints will look to rebound on Thursday when they complete their spring trip with a match against Richard Stockton.

In the Saints' opening match of the trip against Macalester, the Scots earned the match victory with a 5-1 mark in the singles portion in matches that were played to 8-game pro sets due to weather.
