St. Lawrence University's women's squash team, seeded 21st
in the 2010 College Squash Association team nationals lost their opening match
in Walker Cup competition to 20th-seeded George Washington 7-2 at
Yale on Friday.
St. Lawrence University's women's squash team completed the
regular season portion of its schedule with a 6-10 match record after a 9-0
loss to sixth-ranked Cornell and a 5-4 loss to 18th-ranked Franklin
and Marshall at Cornell on Saturday.
Jan. 30: The St. Lawrence University women's squash team
dropped a dual-match with Hamilton College by the score of 9-0 on Saturday
afternoon at the Robin Squash Courts in Canton, NY.
Seniors Meg North and Katie Demakos each went 4-1 for the
weekend as St. Lawrence University's women's squash team won three of five
matches in a three day span. North was named Liberty League co-Player of the Week for her efforts.
St. Lawrence University's women's squash team will play four
matches in the Amherst Round Robin Saturday and Sunday after going 1-2 in play
at Yale to resume post-holiday competition.
St. Lawrence
University's women's squash team beat Connecticut College 6-3 to go 1-2 in
their final weekend of competition prior to exams and the holidays.
St. Lawrence University's women's squash team bounced back
from an opening loss to eventual champion Vassar to beat William Smith 6-3 on
Saturday, finishing second in the 2009 Liberty League Championships on the
Robie Squash Courts.
