The middle of the lineup proved to be the key as William
Smith College edged St. Lawrence University 5-4 in the Epps Cup semifinals at
the College Squash Association national team championships at Harvard on
Saturday.
St. Lawrence University's women's squash team advanced to
the Epps Cup semifinals on Saturday with a 5-4 win over Boston College in a
first round match at the College Squash Association women's team nationals at
Harvard on Friday morning.
St. Lawrence University's women's squash team completed its
regular season with a 9-0 loss at Middlebury on Sunday, and will look forward
to the 2012 CSA Women's team nationals to be held in Cambridge, MA Feb. 24-26.
Brigitte Tousignant was the only player to win a game as the
Saint women's squash team continued competition against some of the top teams
in the College Squash Association with 9-0 losses at Mount Holyoke and Williams
on Saturday.
First year Brigitte Tousignant improved to 5-6 on the season
in the number one slot with a win against Hamilton College at the Robie Squash
Center on Thursday, but she was the lone Saint victory as the 16th-ranked
Continentals sailed to an 8-1 win over the Saints.

at one and Carolyn Fisher at nine each pushed their matches to four games on
Saturday, but Bates prevailed 9-0 in a women's squash match at the Robie Squash
Center.
St. Lawrence University's women's squash team received a key
five-game victory from Kate Holby and went on to defeat Georgetown 5-4 to gain
a split of matches at George Washington on Thursday.
St. Lawrence University's women's squash team began a
four-match road trip with a 9-0 loss to 19th-ranked Bowdoin at Yale
on Saturday and dropped a 8-1 decision to 22nd ranked Colby on
Sunday
St. Lawrence University's women's squash team completed
pre-holiday play with a pair of matches at Cornell on Saturday and lost 9-0 to
two teams ranked in the top 20.
