Saints Down Brewers For Weekend Sweep

Nov. 18:  The St. Lawrence University women's squash team completed a sweep of its competition, capping the weekend with a 9-0 victory over Vassar College in Annandale-on-Hudson, NY on Sunday.  The Saints, ranked No. 28 in the pre-season poll, improved to 4-0 to open the 2012-13 season.

Saints Sweep Day One of Bard Round Robin

Nov. 17:  The St. Lawrence University women's squash team went 2-0 in day one of the Bard Round Robin Tournament on Friday.  The Saints, who ranked #28 in the pre-season poll, posted a 5-4 victory over #25 William Smith before blanking the University of Rochester 9-0 in the night cap. 

Saints Top Toronto 6-3 in Season Opener

Oct. 21: The St. Lawrence University women's squash team opened the 2012-13 season with a 6-3 victory over the University of Toronto on Sunday afternoon at the Robie Squash Courts.

At New Canaan:   Sawabini participated in swimming and diving in high school, and was also a ballet dancer.  The captain of the diving team, the New Canaan, CT native was a high honor roll student.

At The Shipley School:  Neilson participated in field hockey, squash and crew, in addition to riding, tennis and sailing outside of school.  The MVP of the JV squash team as a freshman, she earned All-Main Line honorable mention status in 2010.  The Villanova, PA native earned the State Representative Timothy Briggs Community Hero Award as a senior, as well as the Shipley Service Prize as a junior.

At Brighton:  Lesser was a three-sport athlete, participating in soccer, lacrosse and ice hockey.   A newcomer to the sport of squash, the Brighton, NY native was an AP Scholar with distinction her junior and senior year.

At The Buffalo Seminary:  Sanderson participated in field hockey, squash, crew and softball in high school.  A captain of the squash team, the Buffalo, NY native was an honor roll student.

Tousignant Competes at CSA Individual Nationals.

St. Lawrence University's Brigitte Tousignant lost her opening round match in four games to Samantha Matos of Bates in the 2012 College Squash Association Individual Championships and was relegated to the consolation round on Friday. The tournament is being conducted at Amherst College.

Vassar Edges Saints for 3rd in Epps Cup

Vassar College won four matches in extra games at Harvard on Sunday and defeated St. Lawrence University's women's squash team 6-3 in the Epps Cup third place game at the College Squash Association team nationals.
