in her sophomore season, primarily as the designated player. She concluded the season with a .242 batting
average and recorded 15 hits. A biochemistry major, the
Simsbury, CT native earned Liberty League All-Academic honors. On campus, she is a biology lab assistant and a member of the club ice hockey team, the pre-health club and campus kitchens. She also participated in the Denmark study abroad program in the fall of 2012.
2011: Welsh served as a back-up outfielder in her rookie season with the Saints. She appeared in 7 games, compiling a .200 batting average and scoring a run. Welsh earned National All-Academic honors for her efforts in the classroom.
At Simsbury: Welsh was a four-sport athlete, participating in softball, ice hockey, field hockey and golf. The Simsbury, CT native is also a member of the National Honor Society.
