Saints Clinch Playoff Berth with Sweep of Thoroughbreds

April 20: The St. Lawrence University softball team clinched a Liberty League playoff berth with a sweep of Skidmore College in Saturday's double header in Saratoga Springs, NY. The Saints, who improve to 14-11 overall and 6-4 in the conference, rallied to win game one before taking a 9-0 victory in the second game in five innings

Saints Top ‘Roos 6-3

April 17:  The St. Lawrence University softball team earned a 6-3 non-conference victory over SUNY Canton (10-17) on Wednesday evening in Canton, NY.  The Saints move to 12-11 on the season and will travel to Saratoga Springs on Saturday for their final pair of regular-season Liberty League games against Skidmore College.  

Plimpton Throws One-Hitter, Saints Split with Yellowjackets

April 14: Sophomore pitcher Kyle Plimpton threw a complete-game one-hitter to lead the St. Lawrence University softball team (11-11, 4-4) to a 1-0 victory over the University of Rochester in the first game of Sunday's doubleheader. The Yellowjackets (9-15, 5-1) suffered their first loss in Liberty League play at the hands of the Saints before rebounding to take game two by the score of 6-0.

Saints Bounce Back to Earn Split with RIT

April 13: The St. Lawrence University softball team earned a split against Liberty League opponent RIT on Saturday at Saints Softball Field, rebounding from a 1-0 loss in game one to fend off a late Tiger rally in the nightcap, winning 4-3.

Saints Shutout Union in Nightcap to Gain Split

April 7:  The St. Lawrence University softball team earned another split in Liberty League competition, rebounding from a 9-1 loss in five innings in the opener to shutout Union College by the score of 6-0 in game two.  The Saints, who improve to 9-9 on the season and 2-2 in the conference, will travel to Clinton, NY for a non-conference doubleheader against Hamilton on Wednesday, April 10. 

Saints Earn Split with 2-0 Shutout of Engineers

April 6:  The St. Lawrence University softball team earned a 2-0 victory over Rensselaer in Saturday's nightcap, bouncing back from a 10-2, six inning loss to the Engineers in the Liberty League opener earlier that day.  The Saints move to 8-8 on the season and are 1-1 in the conference and will travel to Schenectady, NY for a pair of games with Union tomorrow afternoon. 

Saints Come Back to Earn Split with Potsdam

April 4:  The St. Lawrence University softball team came back from a 6-0 sixth inning deficit to defeat SUNY Potsdam, 9-8, in eight innings.  The Saints, who move to 7-7 on the season, avenged a 1-0 loss in the first game of the day to the Bears (6-6). 

Games Postponed Due to Weather

April 2: The St. Lawrence University softball and baseball teams' games against Potsdam and Oswego, respectively, have have been postponed due to the weather.  Be sure to check back to the Saints Athletic Website for the rescheduled dates which are yet to be determined.  

Saints Split to Conclude Florida Spring Trip

March 15:  The St. Lawrence University softball team split on its final day of competition in Clermont, FL, defeating Franciscan 4-3 before falling to Lawrence University, 2-0.  The Saints will head back up north with a 6-6 record and will play SUNY Canton on March 26 before hosting SUNY Potsdam in a double header on April 2.  

Saints Lose to Simmons, Hood

March 14:  The St. Lawrence University softball team suffered a two-game setback on Thursday after being shut out by Simmons and Hood in the team's spring break games in Clermont, FL.  The Saints, who fall to 5-5 on the season, struggled offensively with a combined nine hits on the day.
