Junior Stephanie Sayward scored her sixth goal of the season with under four minutes to play in the second overtime period to lift St. Lawrence University's women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory in its Liberty League opener at Skidmore College on Saturday.

Sept. 17: Senior Katherine Polido's corner kick ended up in the goal with 11:31 to play in the first half and Brooke Hessney scored an insurance goal with 31:05 left in regulation as St. Lawrence University's women's soccer team pulled even at 2-2-1 on the season with a 2-0 win over Nazareth College in its home opener on Saturday.

Geneseo State Scores Late to Top Saints, 2-1

Sept. 6: The St. Lawrence University women's soccer team dropped a non-conference contest to Geneseo State, 2-1, on Tuesday night in Geneseo, NY.  Senior Elena Rogers tied the game for the Saints in the second half, but Bella Masotti gave the Blue Knights the one-goal win, scoring with a mere 5:07 left in regulation.

Saints Roll To 8-0 Women's Soccer Win over SUNYIT

St. Lawrence University's women's soccer team took to heart a pre-game conversation with coach Franco Bari about finishing off its scoring chances prior to Saturday's game two of the Lotto Tournament against SUNY-IT.

Cortland Edges Saints 1-0 in Season Opener

Jackie De Luise scored on a hard shot from the top of the box to the far corner of the goal with just under 11 minutes to go in regulation time to lift SUNY Cortland to a 1-0 win over St. Lawrence in the season opener for both teams at Clarkson on Friday evening.

Amanda Margolis assisted on the lone goal in what was an even game statistically as Cortland goalkeeper Pam Monnier and Saint senior keeper Abby van Geldern each had four saves in the contest.

"The team worked hard as a whole today. We created quality opportunities which unfortunately didn't fall our way," said Saint coach Frano Bari.

"I was quite pleased with how we responded after cortland scored. Many teams deflate, while we really picked up our pace and increased our opportunities. Unfortunately we just ran out of time"

Cortland finished with a 15-10 overall advantage in shots and each team had two corner kicks in the opener.

The Saints will play SUNYIT in game two of the season on Saturday at Clarkson while the host Golden Knights, a 3-0 winner in Friday's first game, will take on Cortland.

2012:  Weatherbie moved to goalkeeper for her sophomore season, appearing in two games for the Saints.  The Cape Elizabeth, ME native earned a 7-0 shutout against SUNY Potsdam on Sep. 12.

2011: Alexandra did not see any action in goal as a rookie, but did play forward in the Potsdam game, scoring her first collegiate goal.  A communications major, she is a member of ACE and is the Pub 56 Chair. 

At Cape Elizabeth:
  Alexandra earned the 2010 NSCAA National Senior Excellence Award and was 2009 and 2010 Western Maine All Conference. She was team MVP, varsity captain and a 2010 Maine Senior All Star.  She played four years with Seacoast United Maine in the USL-Super Y League and was a three year member of the Maine ODP team. Alexandra was a member of the Maroon Medal Society for academic accomplishment and was also a member of the Nordic ski and track teams.

2012:  Collins recorded a career-high four assists in her sophomore season and was named a Liberty League Honorable Mention.  The East Longmeadow, MA native also scored a goal on Sep. 12 against SUNY Potsdam. 

2011: Mackenzie had an outstanding rookie season for the Saints, playing in all 17 games and starting six as a forward. She scored three goals and assisted on another. Her first collegiate goal was part of a two-goal game against Elmira and was the game winner.  She also scored in a win over Bard and earned the team's Rookie of the Year award. 

At Northfield Mount Hermon:  A 2009-10 all league player and 2010 MVP, Mackenzie was a member of the WPSL U-20 New England Mutiny club team from 2009-11. She played ice hockey and lacrosse in addition to soccer, and was an honor roll student.
