Saints Shutout Western New England 2-0

Sept. 5: The St. Lawrence University women's soccer team managed to contain non-conference opponent Western New England College's offense to only one wide shot in 90 minutes of play as the Saints topped the Golden Bears 2-0 Friday night, earning a spot in Plattsburgh State's championship game on Saturday, where they will face host team Plattsburgh.

The Scarlet and Brown improve to 3-0-0 overall, while Western New England lost their second game of the season to fall 0-2-0 in 2008.

Strong Second Half Gives Saints 3-2 Win Over Wilkes and Lotto Title

Aug. 31: Three second half goals, two coming in the final three minutes, helped the St. Lawrence University women's soccer team overcome a 2-0 deficit at the half to earn a 3-2 win over Wilkes University as the Saints clinched the 2008 North Country Lotto Classic title on Sandy MacAllaster Field on Sunday.

The Saints improve to 2-0-0 overall, while the Colonels lost their first game of the season, falling to a 1-1-0 mark.

Saints Top Blue Devils 2-0 in Lotto Classic

Aug. 30: Sophomore forward Lizzie Bogosian had three points in the opening contest of the 2008 North Country Lotto Classic to lead the St. Lawrence University women's soccer team to a 2-0 shutout over Fredonia State University on Saturday afternoon on Sandy MacAllaster Field.

The Saints begin the season with a 1-0-0 mark, while the Blue Devils open up their 2008 campaign with a 0-1-0 record as both teams head into their second matchups of the tournament tomorrow afternoon.

Franco Bari

A National All-American and 1998 graduate from St. Lawrence University, Franco Bari became the head coach of the women's soccer program in the fall of 2008.  Under his leadership, the squad made its first postseason appearance and its first 10-game winning season since 2003.  Since Bari's arrival, the Saints have maintained a regional ranking while also breaking onto the national stage when they reached a ranking of No. 25 during the 2008 season.  

Bari has compiled a 38-24-9 record heading into the 2012 campaign, and has coached over 20 Liberty League All-Conference players and four NSCAA Regional All-Americans in his four years at the helm of the Saints program.
