Cataldo, Camels Drop Saints, 13-8

Mar. 18: Caitlin Cataldo turned in a 14-save performance for Connecticut College on Friday, leading the Camels to a 13-8 victory over the St. Lawrence University women's lacrosse team in West Palm Beach, FL.  The Saints, who outshot their opponents 35-27, were led by junior Kendall Harty's three-goal showing.

Saints Rout UMass-Dartmouth for First Win of 2011

Mar. 17: St. Lawrence University junior Alanna Piroli scored five goals and the Saints used a 13-goal run to close the first half en route to an 18-5 win for the Saints women's lacrosse team over UMass-Dartmouth in West Palm Beach, FL on Thursday.

Fredonia State Rallies Past Saints, 13-12

Mar. 15: The St. Lawrence University women's lacrosse team built a 7-0 lead in the first half against Fredonia State on Tuesday in West Palm Beach, FL.  However, the Blue Devils rallied in the second half and pulled out a one-goal victory over the Scarlet and Brown, 13-12.

No. 7 Red Dragons Tip Saints, 14-8, in 2011 Opener

Mar. 11: The St. Lawrence University women's lacrosse team dropped its opening contest of the 2011 season on Friday afternoon at Hall-Leet Stadium in Canton, NY.  The Saints, playing the first lacrosse game on the new turf at North Country Field, tried to rally in the second half against nationally-ranked No. 7 Cortland State, but fell short in a 14-8 loss.

Mar. 10: The St. Lawrence University women's lacrosse team will play its first game on the new field turf at Hall-Leet Stadium on Friday afternoon, as the Saints get their 2011 season underway against nationally-ranked No. 7 Cortland State.

2012:   Cornell-Roberts was a strong defensive player in her sophomore season, earning Liberty League Second Team All-Conference honors.  She also earned a spot on the Academic All-Conference team for her efforts in the classroom. 

2011: 
Cornell-Roberts appeared in four games for the Saints in her rookie season.  The Ithaca, NY native has decided to major in both sociology and Spanish at St. Lawrence.

At Ithaca

Cornell-Roberts was a dual-sport athlete, as she earned All-Division honors in both Lacrosse and Soccer. An Honor Roll student, Cornell-Roberts also captained the soccer squad and was named the team's "Most Valuable Midfielder."

2012:   Horan recorded a career-high six goals in her sophomore season at St. Lawrence, and also earned Liberty League All-Academic honors.

Horan appeared in eight games in her rookie season with the Saints, scoring one goal and adding an assist.  She is majoring in both psychology and fine arts at St. Lawrence. 

At Medfield

Horan competed in Lacrosse, Track and Field and Soccer. A member of the National Honor Society and an honor roll student, she served as the captain of the lacrosse squad in her senior season.

2012: Benedict played in 11 games in the midfield for the Saints in her sophomore year.  The defensive midfielder had nine ground balls, three draw controls and five caused turnovers while earning a spot on the Liberty League All-Academic team.

2011: 
Benedict saw playing time in seven games in her rookie season with St. Lawrence.  The Owings Mills, MD native, who also competed on the squash team, is majoring in Spanish. 

At Garrison Forest School

Benedict was a tri-sport student-athlete, competing in Lacrosse, Field Hockey and Squash. The Pittsburgh, PA native earned Cum Laude honors for her efforts in the classroom.

Crastro appeared in three games for the Saints, totaling one goal and adding an assist.  The Bedford, NY native, who is majoring in performance and communication arts, earned Liberty League All-Academic honors for her efforts in the classroom.   

At Fox Lane

Crasto was a tri-sport athlete, participating in Lacrosse, Field Hockey and Ice Hockey. The Bedford, NY native, who was inducted into the National Honor Society, served as a captain to the lacrosse team and was the recipient of the school's "Sportsmanship Award".

2012: VanTassel became a key scoring threat for St. Lawrence in her sophomore year, as she led the team with 16 assists.  A member of the Liberty League's All-Academic team, she totaled 27 points, fourth on the roster, including a career-high six-point outing in a win over Potsdam State (2g,4a). 

2011:
VanTassel saw time in three games for the Saints and totaled one goal, one assist and a ground ball.  A member of the sophomore class council and the Singing Sinners, she is majoring in government and environmental studies at St. Lawrence.

At South Jefferson

VanTassel was a stand-out student-athlete, earning awards for Lacrosse, Cross Country and Track and Field while being inducted into the National Honor Society. The Adams Center, NY native earned All-Star lacrosse status and was the recipient of the "Exceptional Senior Award" for her play. VanTassel was also a three-time state qualifier for Track and Field.
