Rochester Tops Saints in Field Hockey, 4-1

Oct. 6: The script was all too familiar for St. Lawrence University's field hockey team as for the second game in a row the Saints fell behind early, battled back to cut the lead in half and then saw the opponent pull away for a win as the University of Rochester turned back the Saints 4-1 in a Liberty League game at Rochester on Saturday.

15th Ranked Herons Roll in 6-1 Win over Saints

Oct. 5: William Smith exploded for five first half goals and went on to a 6-1 win over St. Lawrence in a Liberty League field hockey game in Geneva Friday afternoon.

Saints Lose on Penalty Strokes at Geneseo

Sept. 29: Goals were hard to come by for the field hockey teams from St. Lawrence and Geneseo on Saturday as after the teams traded goals in a span of just over three minutes in the second half, they played through another 45 minutes without another before the game was finally decided by a penalty stroke shootout with Geneseo winning 2-1.

Cooper Stops 17 as Saints Blank St. John Fisher 2-0

St. Lawrence University's field hockey team scored a pair of first half goals and sophomore goaltender Brady Cooper made them stand up for a 2-0 victory over St. John Fisher as the Saints won their second straight at Hall-Leet Stadium on North Country Field Tuesday afternoon.

Saward, O'Neil Combine for 5 Goals in Saint Romp

Sept. 22: Former Vermont high school field hockey rivals Lizzy Saward and Grace O'Neil combined for five goals as St. Lawrence University's field hockey team played a nearly flawless first half en route their first win of the season, a 6-1 rout of Liberty League rival Vassar.

Union Edges Saints In Liberty League Opener

Sept. 21: St. Lawrence University's field hockey team's offensive doldrums continued Friday afternoon as Union College scored the game's only goal with 9:10 left in the first half, handing the Saints their third 1-0 loss of the season and their fourth one-goal defeat in an 0-6 start.

Manhattanville Edges Saints in Overtime, 3-2

Sept. 16: Amanda DeChent scored 7:12 into overtime to lift Manhattanville College to a 3-2 victory over St. Lawrence University in Game 3 of the William Smith Classic at McCooey Field. The Valiants forced OT with the game-tying goal with just 46 seconds remaining in regulation.

Lebanon Valley Downs Saints 3-1

Sept. 15: Lebanon Valley College jumped out to an early 2-0 lead and went on to a 3-1 win over St. Lawrence University in field hockey at William Smith on Saturday.

Sept. 8: Opportunity knocked…and knocked and knocked, but St. Lawrence University’s field hockey team couldn’t take advantage of their scoring chances, dropping their third straight with a 1-0 overtime loss to Hartwick on North Country Field at Hall-Leet Stadium Saturday afternoon.
