Dr. Ana Estevez

Dr. Ana Estevez will serve as the Faculty Mentor for the women's lacrosse and cross country team throughout 2012-2013.

Current Professional/Research Interest:
"I am a neuroscientist with research interests in ion channel physiology and neurodegeneration. I teach Introductory and Advanced Neuroscience as well as the upper level electives Cellular Mechanisms of Memory and Drugs and the Brain. Because students are an integral part of my research program, I typically have several working with me every semester.

Pavlus, No. 2 Saints Win 2010 Liberty League Title

Oct. 30: The No. 2 St. Lawrence University women's cross country team won the Liberty League championship for the ninth consecutive year on Saturday in Geneva, NY.  Senior Wendy Pavlus earned the individual title, the second of her career, with a time of 22:35 on the 6k course.

No. 2 Saints Clinch Third Straight NYSCTC Title

Oct. 23: The nationally-ranked No. 2 St. Lawrence University women's cross country team claimed the 2010 NYSCTC Championship on Saturday afternoon in Saratoga Springs, NY.  The Saints, led by Wendy Pavlus' record-setting time, posted a low score of 28 points to defeat Ithaca and win the state crown for the third consecutive season.

Pavlus, Saints Win 2010 Hoffmann Invitational Title

Oct. 9: The St. Lawrence University women's cross country team, ranked No. 2 in the USTFCCA national poll, captured the 2010 Hoffmann Invitational on Saturday in the Saints' annual home race.  Senior captain Wendy Pavlus earned the individual title, her fifth straight victory dating back to last season.

Pavlus 22nd Overall at 2010 Paul Short Invitational

Oct. 1: St. Lawrence University senior Wendy Pavlus finished in 22nd place overall on Friday in the gold race at the 2010 Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, PA.  The Tupper Lake, NY native's finish is the best in St. Lawrence history at the multi-divisional event, which featured some of the premier Division I teams in the country.

Sept. 29: Both the St. Lawrence University men's and women's cross country teams are both in the top-10 of the USTFCCCA national poll this week, and you can watch the Saints compete at the 2010 Paul Short Invitational on Friday!

#3 Saints to Compete in Gold Race at Paul Short Invitational

Sept. 23: The St. Lawrence University women's cross country team, ranked No. 3 in the latest USTFCCCA national poll, has been selected as the only Division III squad to compete in the "gold race" at the 2010 Paul Short Invitational on October 1.

Pavlus, Saints Cruise to Oneonta Invitational Title

Sept. 17: The No. 2 St. Lawrence University women's cross country team picked up right where they left off in 2009, as the Saints cruised to victory at the 2010 Oneonta Invitational/Pre-Regional on Friday at Fortin Park in Oneonta, NY.  Senior captain Wendy Pavlus, the reigning individual national champion, won the event by 27 seconds ahead of Geneseo State's Marissa Liberati.

Hulton Wins Opening Event of 2010 Season

Sept. 8: St. Lawrence University junior All-America Jenna Hulton claimed the opening race of the 2010 women's cross country season on Wednesday as she won the North Country Five meet hosted by Paul Smith's College.
