Hulton, Lemme Lead Saints to Saratoga Invitational Title

Sept. 17: The nationally-ranked No. 19 St. Lawrence University women's cross country team cruised to victory on Saturday at the 2011 Saratoga Invitational hosted by Rensselaer.  The Scarlet and Brown had six top-10 finishers, including senior Jenna Hulton, who claimed the individual title, and junior Jackie Lemme, who recorded a collegiate-best second place finish.

Martino Wins, Saints Impress at North Country Five Meet

Sept. 7: St. Lawrence University rookie cross country runner Anne Martino won the 2011 North Country Five meet in Canton, NY on Wednesday.  Meanwhile, St. Lawrence had an impressive showing, taking the top nine spots in the event.

No. 20 Saints Finish Second to No. 13 Plattsburgh State

Sept. 3: The nationally-ranked No. 20 St. Lawrence women's cross country team fell short of No. 13 Plattsburgh State on Saturday at the annual "Cardinal Classic" hosted by Plattsburgh State.

Saints to Open 2011 Season Ranked No. 20 in the Nation

Sept. 2: The St. Lawrence University women's cross country team, fresh off consecutive seasons that included victories at the Liberty League, NYSCTC and Atlantic Regional races, will enter the 2011 campaign ranked No. 20 in the national polls and fourth in the regional poll.

2012: A consistent scorer throughout her sophomore season, Anne improved her finishes from her rookie season in all of the major races. She had a 5th place finish in the Liberty League, a 17th place finish in the NYSCTC championship and ran in her first NCAA Championship meet. She had a 10th place finish in the Plattsburgh Invitational to open the season and was 11th in the Hoffmann Invitational. She was a Liberty League All Academic performer in addition to earning All League honors with her fifth place finish.

2011:   Martino had a solid rookie season as she competed in seven events for the Saints, including the NCAA Regional and NYSCTC Championships.  Earning Liberty League Rookie of the Week once during the season, her best finish came at the conference championship where she earned ninth with a time of 23:18.  

At Newtown
Martino was a three-sport student-athlete, competing in cross country, outdoor track and field and horseback riding. The Newtown, CT native was a three-time Most Valuable Performer of the cross country team as well as a team captain. A member of the National Honor Society and High Honor Roll, Anne was also a four-time All-League honoree.

2012: Anna recorded her first collegiate win with a victory in the 5K North Country Five. She was 21st in the HOffmann Invitational, 26th in the Liberty League and 27th in the NYSCTC Championship.


2011
:  Rabideau did not compete in any events in her first season with the Saints.  

At Seton Catholic
Rabideau was a stand-out student-athlete, earning Most Valuable Performer honors for the cross country and track and field teams each of the past two seasons. The Plattsburgh, NY native, who earned Highest Honor Roll status and is a member of the National Honor Society, was also a team captain for each squad. Anna was a part of 20 section championships, either team or individual, in six sports.

Emily von Loesecke '14

2012: Emily ran in the Hoffmann Invitational, finishing 60th and was 59th in the Liberty League Championships as a sophomore.

2011:
  von Loesecke raced in two events for the Saints as a sophomore, the North Country Five Meet and the Cardinal Classic. Emily received the Association of Campus Entertainment Leadership Award for 2012.  

At Hingham
von Loesecke earned All-Star status for her efforts with the cross country team. The Hingham, MA native, who captained the alpine ski squad, was an Honor Roll student and a member of the Tri-M Music Honors Society.

Pavlus Nominated for NCAA Woman of the Year Award

June 24: Liberty League Commissioner Tim Danehy has announced that the Liberty League has officially nominated St. Lawrence University's Wendy Pavlus and Vassar's Sarah Warner for the NCAA's 2011 Woman of the Year Award.

Senior Trio to Captain Saints in the Fall of 2011

May 27: St. Lawrence University head women's cross country coach Mike Howard has announced that seniors Jenna Hulton, McKayla Nuffer and Melanie Solandt will serve as the team's captains for the 2011 season.
