2012: Laurel finished 68th in the Hoffmann Invitational and was 94th in the Liberty League championship in her first season of intercollegiate competition.

A multi-talented athlete, Laurel Hurd ran cross country, was a member of the Nordic skiing and crew teams and played lacrosse and tennis at Yarmouth High School. She captained the cross country and Nordic ski teams and was a high honors student.

2012: Jess had a solid season in cross country in 2012 with a top finish of 11th in the Plattsburgh Invitaitonal and a 22nd place finish in the Liberty League Championships. 

A standout in indoor and outdoor track at the middle distances and 400 hurdles, Jessica Marini will join the cross country team in the fall of 2012. She was Liberty League champion in the 400 hurdles in 2010 and finished fourth in the NYSCTC in that event. She also ran the 400 meter and 200 meter dashes. She was Liberty League champion in the 400 hurdles again last spring and finished third in the NYSCTC.

Chloe McElligott '16

Top Finish: 18th NC 5 2012

2012: Chloe had a top finish of 18th in the North Country Five meet as a rookie. She was 84th in the Hoffmann Invitational and also competed in the Liberty League Championship.

Chloe played soccer, basketball and was a member of the indoor and outdoor track and field teams in high school and was captain of the soccer and indoor and outdoor track teams as a senior. She was named the Most Coachable Female Athlete in 2010 and 2012 and earned the Sportsmanship Award. She was class Valedictorian and a member of the National Honor Society, earning High Honor Roll status in the classroom.

Madeline Funk '16

Top Finish: 2nd North Country 2012 (5K)

2012: Madeline finished second in the 5K North Country Five meet on the Hoffmann Course and was 20th in the season opening race at Plattsburgh

A member of the cross country ski team and tennis team at the Forman School, Madeline was MVP in all four years, New England champion and league champion and captain of her teams. She was a Dean's List and honor roll student and a member of the Green Key Society. She received the Avis Hailey Award as a senior.

Machele Clark '14

Top Finish: 28th Plattsburgh 2012

2012:  Machele had a career best 28th place finish at the Plattsburgh Invitational in her lone race of the year.

A member of the indoor and outdoor track teams last year, Machele ran the mile and the 3000 and will join the cross country team this fall.

2012: Ella was the Liberty League Rookie of the Year to cap an outstanding first year of intercollegiate competition. A consistent scorer in the top three for the Saints, she had six top ten finishes and five top fives and had the best rookie finish in the NCAA Championships in program history with a 39th She won the Hoffmann Invitational for her first collegiate win and was third in the Liberty League and NYSCTC Championships and fifth in the Atlantic Regional. She was Liberty League Rookie of the Week five times and Runner of the Week once.

Ella played soccer and lacrosse at Falmouth Academy and was first-team All League in soccer for three years. A National Honor Society member and a Headmaster's List student, she plans to run cross country and track and field at St. Lawrence.

 

 

Madeline Woods '16

Top Finish: 11th North Country Five 2012

2012: Madeline finished 11th in the 5K North Country Five race and was 71st in the Liberty League Championships in her first season of intercollegiate competition.

Madeline ran cross country and outdoor track and was a member of the Alpine ski team at Chevrus High School. He was Maine all academic and earned various team awards for the Chevrus team which was state champions from 2009-11. She was an honor roll student and a member of the National Honor Society.

June 18: St. Lawrence University's women's cross country team will turn to a trio of veterans for leadership as it chases a fourth straight New York State Collegiate Track Conference and New York State NCAA Regional cross country championship in the 2012 season.

Trio of Saints Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

Feb. 14: The St. Lawrence University cross country teams produced three United States Track and Field and Cross Country Association All-Academic honorees for the 2011 season.
