Dr. Alison Del Rossi

Dr. Alison Del Rossi Papson will serve as the women's cross country team's Faculty/Staff Mentor for 2011-2012.

Dr. Del Rossi, an Associate Professor of Economics, began her three-year term as Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs in July 2010. The Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs supervises many faculty support programs including faculty travel, large and small research grants and adjunct and overload appointments. The Associate Dean supports faculty development opportunities and programs that promote innovative teaching practices and course design, improve student learning, and assist faculty in their professional, scholarly, and creative development at all stages in their careers. The Associate Dean also provides counsel to the Dean and works collaboratively in an office committed to efficiently serving the needs of the faculty and the academic program.

Alison graduated summa cum laude from the University of Delaware, with a double major in Economics and English, and she received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Her teaching and research interests include law and economics, public finance and government behavior, risky choices, and the economics of higher education . At St. Lawrence since 1999, she especially values the enthusiastic and engaged students, the high level of engaged learning possible in small classes, and the opportunities for faculty to work one-on-one with students on research.

Hulton, Howard Earn Liberty League Honors

Dec. 1: St. Lawrence University senior co-captain Jenna Hulton and the St. Lawrence University women's cross country coaching staff have both been honored by the Liberty League for their accomplishments during the 2011 season.

Hulton an All-America, Saints Eighth at NCAA’s

Nov. 19: The St. Lawrence University women's cross country team finished in eighth place overall at the 2011 NCAA Championships on Saturday in Winneconne, WI.  Leading the Saints was senior co-captain Jenna Hulton, who earned All-America honors for the second time in her career thanks to a 34th place showing.

Saints Win Third Straight Regional Crown

Nov. 12:  The St. Lawrence University women's cross country team, ranked 11th in the nation, won its third consecutive NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship on Saturday afternoon on the Ronald C. Hoffman Cross Country course in Canton, NY.

Saints Prepared to Compete for 2011 Atlantic Regional Titles

Nov. 10: The St. Lawrence University men's and women's cross country teams are set to host the 2011 NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships this weekend at the Ronald C. Hoffmann Cross Country Course in Canton, NY.  Both teams will be in search of a top-two finish in the team standings, which automatically earns a bid into the NCAA Championship next weekend in Winneconne, Wisconsin.

Hulton, Saints Claim 10th Straight Conference Title

Oct. 29: The nationally-ranked No. 12 St. Lawrence University women's cross country team claimed the program's 10th straight conference championship on Saturday in Poughkeepsie, NY, winning the 2011 Liberty League title behind senior Jenna Hulton's record-setting performance.

Hulton, Saints Win NYSCTC Cross Country Titles

St. Lawrence University senior Jenna Hulton led from start to finish of the 2011 New York State Collegiate Track Conference Cross Country Championship on the Ronald C. Hoffmann Cross Country Course Saturday morning, and her Saint team won its fourth straight team title.

Hulton Sisters Earn Top-10 Finishes at Hoffmann/Pre-Regional

Oct. 8: The St. Lawrence University women's cross country team, ranked No. 26 in the national polls, had an impressive outing at the 2011 Hoffmann Invitational/Pre-Regional on a sunny Saturday in Canton, NY.  Led by Jenna and Megan Hulton, the Saints defeated both No. 11 Plattsburgh State and No. 20 Cortland State en route to a second place showing overall.
