Saints Cap Successful Spring Trip With 1V, 2V Victories at Mayor's Cup

March 21:  The St. Lawrence University women's crew team posted strong performances in its first race of the spring season when it traveled to Tampa, FL to take part in the Mayor's Cup.  The Saints 1V and 2V both earned their first gold medals of the season, defeating their competition by open water.  

Dr. Jennifer Hansen

Dr. Jennifer Hansen will continue to serve as a Faculty/Staff Mentor to the women's hockey and women's crew teams in the 2012-2013 season.

Education History:
M.A. - Boston College
Ph.D. - SUNY Stony Brook

Dr. Hansen is an Associate Professor in the Philosophy Department at St. Lawrence University. Her research interests include Philosophy of Psychiatry and Feminist Theory. She also teaches courses in Gender and Sexuality Studies and the First Year Program.

Novice Eight Earns Silver at the Head of the Fish

Oct. 31:  The St. Lawrence University Novice 8+ earned silver at the Head of the Fish Regatta on Saturday.  The Saints battled 26 other crews to earn the second-place finish. 

Saints Finish Seventh At Head Of The Charles

Oct. 25:  The St. Lawrence University women's crew team posted the program's best showing in the Collegiate Eights event at the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday, finishing seventh out of 31 entries and fifth of all Division III entries.  

Saints Successful at Head of the Genesee

Oct. 17:  The St. Lawrence University women's crew team posted strong showings at the Head of the Genesee, held on Saturday on the Genesee River in Rochester, NY.  The 1V earned a third place overall finish and was second among Division III schools.   

Women's Crew Compete in Bridge to Bridge Head Race

Oct. 10: The St. Lawrence University women's crew team opened its 2010-11 season, traveling to Rome, NY to take part in the Bridge to Bridge Head Race hosted by Hamilton College. 

Abigail McIvor '14

2011-12:  McIvor competed on the Saints second varsity 8 in her second season at St. Lawrence.  

2010-11: McIvor was a member of the Varsity Four that won the Liberty League Championship and the ECAC Invitational title.  The North Yarmouth, Maine native majors in conservation biology at St. Lawrence.  

At Yarmouth Academy:  McIvor was a three-sport athlete, participating in lacrosse, nordic skiing and cross-country.  While captaining the skiing and cross-country teams, she was a frequent on the honor roll.    

Victoria Vossler '14

Buffalo, NY
Nichols School

2011-12:  Vossler coxed the varsity 8 in her second season with the Saints.  The Buffalo, NY native majors in art and art history, as well as economics at St. Lawrence.  Earning Liberty League All-Academic honors, she is the Thelmo Public Relations Chair.

2010-11: Vossler helped power the Varsity Four that won the Liberty League Championships as well as the ECAC Invitational title.

At Nichol:  Vossler was a three-sport athlete, participating in crew, squash and cross-country.  She was the captain of the crew team and earned MIP her sophomore year.  The Buffalo, NY native was also on the honor roll all four years.   

Jenette Kloss '14

2011-12: Kloss competed in the Saints varsity 8 in her sophomore season at St. Lawrence.  An environmental biology major, she earned Liberty League All-Academic honors and was named to the Dean's List in the spring of 2012.

2010-11: Kloss was a member of the Varsity Four that won the Liberty League Championship title and the 2011 ECAC Invitational.

At E.O. Smith:  Kloss was a two-sport athlete, participating in both field hockey and crew.  While captaining the field hockey team, she earned All-Conference, All-State and Class M Goalie of the Year honors.  She is a member of the National Honor Society, World Language Honor Society, and was a frequent on the high honor roll.    

Amanda Dudley

Returning to her alma mater, Amanda Dudley '08 joined the St. Lawrence Crew staff in the fall of 2010 as an assistant coach.

Dudley, a Henderson Harbor, NY native, rowed all four of her collegiate years for the Saints and stroked the Varsity 8+ boat that was named 2008 Liberty League Crew of the Year and placed 5th at the NCAA Division III Rowing Championships. 

After graduating from St. Lawrence, Dudley worked as an assistant rowing coach at Lake Braddock Secondary School and then William & Mary Rowing Club, both in Virginia.  While assistant coaching, she also completed her student-teaching at Toano Middle School in Toano, VA and received her Master's in Education at The College of William & Mary in 2010.
