Early Three-Point Shooting Sends Tufts to 57-32 Win

March 1:   The #9 Tufts women's basketball team hit seven of 10 three-point attempts in the first half and never looked back while posting a 57-32 victory over St. Lawrence University in the NCAA Div. III Championships first round on Friday night at Cousens Gym.

Saints Set to Face Jumbos in NCAA First Round Friday

Feb. 27:  The St. Lawrence University women's basketball team is set to face host nationally-ranked No. 9 Tufts University in the 2013 NCAA Division III Championship first round at Cousens Gymnasium in Medford, MA.   

Saints Draw Jumbos in NCAA First Round

Feb. 25:  The St. Lawrence University women's basketball team will head to Medford, MA to take on regional host #10 Tufts University in the first round of the 2013 NCAA Division III championships on Friday, March 1.  Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 pm in the Cousens Gymnasium. 

Legg, Cady Lead Saints to Liberty League Crown

Feb. 23: The St. Lawrence University women's basketball team is heading back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2009, as the Saints held off William Smith, 51-48, in a back-and-forth battle for the Liberty League title and automatic national tournament bid. Junior Kelly Legg, who had a team-high 18 points, was named the Tournament's Most Valuable Player, while sophomore Allison Cady earned All-Tournament Team honors after a 14-point effort.

Three Saints Earn All-Conference Honors

Feb. 21:  Three members of the St. Lawrence University women's basketball team earned All-Liberty League honors for their play throughout the 2012-13 campaign.  Sophomore Kara McDuffee was named First Team All-Conference, while junior Kelly Legg was tabbed for the Second Team.  First-year student Amanda Roberts earned Honorable Mention status and was a unanimous choice to the league's All-Rookie team. 

Saints Top Thoroughbreds, 58-44, in Conference Semifinal

Feb. 20:  The St. Lawrence University women's basketball team held off a second half push by Skidmore College to earn a 58-44 victory in the 2013 Liberty League Tournament semifinal game in the Burkman Gymnasium on Wednesday night.  First-year student Amanda Roberts established a new single-season record for assists in the Saints' winning effort, breaking Meredith Eisenhut's mark of 132 that was set in the 2001-02 season.

Saints Fall to Herons, Will Host Skidmore in Conference Semifinals

Feb. 16: The St. Lawrence University women's basketball team dropped its 2012-13 regular season finale on Saturday afternoon in Geneva, NY, as William Smith College held on for a 72-70 victory. Junior Kelly Legg's 22 points led all scorers and brought the Fairport, NY native over 1,000 points in her career at St. Lawrence, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Herons' hot shooting.

Tigers Down Saints, 73-65

Feb. 15: Courtney Tennant's career-high 29 points led RIT to a 73-65 victory over St. Lawrence University in Friday's Liberty League action in Rochester, NY. RIT improves to 11-13 overall and 7-8 in the league. Meanwhile, the Saints fall to 11-4 in the league and are no longer in control over the top seed in the conference.  Though the Saints have clinched a tournament bid, the seeding will be determined by the results of tomorrow's final games. 

Saints Shut Down Dutchwomen, 63-53

Feb. 9:  The St. Lawrence University women's basketball team used a 13-1 run over a span of 4:41 in the second half to put the game out of reach for Union, earning a 63-53 Liberty League victory on Saturday afternoon in the Burkman Gymnasium.  The Saints, who avenged an overtime loss earlier in the season, improved to 11-3 in the league and 17-6 overall.  Meanwhile, the Dutchwomen fell to 8-6 in the conference and 13-9 overall.
